March, 2011 We elected to replace our ageing natural gas furnace last November and, as luck would have it, our decision to do so coincided with a full page ad by Tempco in one of the Friday editions of the Peak. I called Tye Leishman and that was the first step down the road to an outstanding professional relationship. Time frames were met without exception. Written quotations were provided on a timely basis and the quality of the presentation was something not commonly seen here in Powell River. Costings were competitive which allowed us to deal locally for our requirements. Information was provided to what, in retrospect, must have seemed like an inordinate number of questions. Once work began, we met the Tempco crew and they were, to a man, absolutely first class. The installation was done on a timely basis: our home was shown the kind of respect that we had hoped for: Tye and his staff were polite and courteous and, of course, both knowledgeable and professional. His follow-up was extremely well done - particularly his guidance in the operation of our new thermostat. All in all, a very pleasant experience. And the proof is in the pudding:

January, 2011 Hello Tye and the Tempco Team. I just wanted to say a big Thank You for great work you did installing my heat pump. I must admit that, despite my research, I was initially a bit skeptical about the units' ability to heat my house....was I in for a surprise!! The word comfortable does not do the unit justice...it simply is great!! Throughout the house is warm and the basement has such a wonderful temperature now that we have made a huge part of into the kids' play area. You certainly were not kidding when you said I would have no regrets!! I must also commend you on your staff!! They were so helpful, knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. They accommodated all my requests and were very helpful when I asked for options regarding the duct work. They cleaned up after each day and left the place spotless! I would recommend anyone considering the purchase and installation of a heat pump to leave it all to you as it was such a pleasure just being able to let you go ahead and do all the work without any worries!! August, 2010 After 2 years of hemming and hawing, we finally replaced our gas furnace with a new York high efficiency heat pump, an Energy Saving variable speed air handling unit and a new electric furnace. This was a huge step for us as obviously there is significant cost involved to doing such a thing. Having said that, I can tell you that not only was Tempco's quote consistent with others that we received, but their overall service and attention to detail was second to none. Every person in the company has their own "niche" and they all worked in concert with each other to provide a seamless installation. They were quick, polite, efficient, easy to talk to and always seemed to have time for our unending questions and concerns. Their expertise was unparalleled. When it was all said and done, Tye presented us with a handy binder with all manuals, paperwork and everything else you would ever want to know about our system. He always had time to meet with us throughout the entire process and didn't stop until we were completely 100% satisfied and comfortable. Being a person who believes that the true measure of any good and successful company is not only in the ownership, but in the people it employs, both my wife and I can honestly say that we would never hesitate to recommend Tempco for anyone's heating and cooling needs. They were truly a step above. My only regret, why didn't we call them two years ago!?
April, 2010 The attention to detail during the installation and clean-up is a compliment to Tempco's professional approach to business. The York air-to-air heat pump was installed to replace our electric furnace and has reduced our electric bill by 30 - 40% during winter use. The Fantech HRV (air to air heat exchanger that moves fresh air into the house and stale air out) replaced an older model and has improved the air quality. The sizing of the units and the review of our options were all completed in a professional manner. Their friendly and cheerful manner made the project a pleasure from beginning to end.
March, 2010 Tempco installed our new heat pump last fall and were the most professional people I have ever met. They treated my house as if it were their own, and made sure everything was spick and span before they left every day. They also made sure that I was familiar and comfortable with using the programmable thermostat, and made sure I knew I could call any time I had questions. I would recommend them to anyone looking to make changes to their heating system.

After soliciting numerous quotes, we are happy to have chosen Tempco Refrigeration to upgrade our electrical system, as well as replace our oil based heating system with a high efficiency York 8T heat pump and indoor coil. Tempco Refrigeration just finished the replacement of our 1990 model heat pump with a new "York" heat pump and indoor air handler unit. We found Tye and his crew not only very competent and neat but also extremely courteous and willing to recommend changes that would increase the benefit of our new unit. We would without reservation recommend Tempco to our friends.

Dear Tye:
We have been very pleased and the average cost of heat last winter on my electric bill running the heat pump. It was $31.50 per month. The air conditioning bonus that is in the system was wonderfull during our hot spell this summer. We didn't need it much during the day but used it to cool the house at bed time, and it was great. We only had to look at people all over the area to see their sleepy eyes and almost cranky demeanor to know that "Yes you do need central air on the coast" So many people have denied this for years here. After almost 30 years in the Okanogan Valley we learned Central Air is as important as heat. You may not use it as much but when you do it's great. Tempco looked after us well and did a very expert job on the installation and I have told alot of people about the service and the way you did the job. It changed the character of (This old house).
